It’s been a busy time for some of our team who just finished up at Music Camp a couple of days ago. Once again a very wonderful and successful time together, with a few highlights being:
- The first Sabbath watching 17 young people step forward to make the decision to be baptised
- The excitement of each young person as they came back from a day of canvassing with a desire to go out again
- Seeing four of our young people give their lives to God through baptism on our final Sabbath together
- And of course seeing all the many hours of practise come together for the final concert that was said to be the best concert yet!

Here at Granya we’re continuing to watch this Walwa/Mt Lawson fire which remains closer to us than is comfortable. Igniting Monday afternoon to our northeast, it stayed fairly static for a few days; then on 43 degree Thursday and Friday it roared past us and swept away across the hills to our south and east.
That seemed like the back of it as helicopters and trucks mopped up the smouldering hills around Granya. But Sunday night it returned to the southern fringe of town and with that southerly change nudging it, continues to bubble away there.
Please continue to pray for the whole district and our village, and for God’s protection over His property in this usually peaceful place. We praise Him for the courage of firefighters who exemplify selflessness.
