A happy new year to you, I hope you’re getting used to writing 2026. We’re lying low surviving some very hot days and getting some rest here at Granya, but our usual peace is slightly disturbed by a growing bushfire about 12-15km away. The good news is that it hasn’t moved much in the 40 hours it’s been burning, and it is to our northeast, and the wind is favourable to us, at least at this stage.
We’re just asking for your prayers as Victoria’s emergency authorities call for us to evacuate. It’s not high drama at this stage, but we would love God to protect this place and our neighbours as we have so much more to do here. Please pray for those fighting the fire in tough conditions on the hills and in a very crowded airspace. Hope to be able to send you a more cheerful update soon.
